Announcements
5/15-5/19
Students will be presenting their game creations this week. It is always fun to see what they have come up with and watching them teach it to the class. If your child is an 8th grader, they will also be cleaning out their lockers. Have a wonderful week!
5/1-5/5
This week we will be wrapping up our fitness testing with the mile and 40 yard dash. Students will also be starting a game creation unit. In this they will be able to create any game they want with a group of students. I cannot believe we only have four weeks of school left! Have a wonderful week!!
4/24-4/28
This week we will be starting our end of the year fitness testing. Students need to show growth in all six of the fitness tests. A rubric is below if you’d like to see how much they need to improve in order to get the full 25 points for each test. This is a huge chunk of their grade for fourth quarter. Please remind students to keep dressing out and bringing water bottles with them. Have a great week.
4/10-4/14
We will be continuing our Flag Football Unit this week, working on routes. Students will also be running their April mile at some point. Please remind them to dress out and bring a water bottle to class. A reminder, if your child missed a day of class and lost their absent form, they are on my webpage for printing.
4/3-4/7
Welcome to the 4th quarter!!! We will be starting a Flag Football unit this week. This may be an extended unit with a few added game days due to having to use the aux gym and the weather. Please remind your student to dress out for class and to be on time. Have a great week!
3/13-3/16
This week we will be wrapping up our hockey unit, as well as, the third quarter. Students will be taking a quiz and participating in their tournament. With the quarter coming to an end all Absent Forms must be turned in to me no later than Thursday 3/16. Anything turned in after spring break will not be added to third quarter grades. I look forward to seeing some of you at conferences. Have a great week!
2/21-2/24
This week we will be starting our second unit, floor hockey. Please remember that absent forms can be returned up to the end of the quarter. If you student lost his/her form it can be printed from my fusion page. Hope everyone had a great long weekend.
2/13-2/17
We will be wrapping up our basketball unit this week. Students will either be starting or continuing their tournament. Please remind your student to take their clothing home each week for washing. Have a wonderful week!
1/23-1/27
We will be starting our first unit, basketball this week. Please, remind you child to bring clothing to dress out in, and if they don't have one, they will need a combination lock. I have given all of mine out. Last week students did their first article review, if they were absent it does become homework. Have a wonderful week!
1/17-1/20
Welcome to the second semester!! I am so excited to have your student in Team Sports. This week we will be finishing some fitness testing for students who were gone. We will also be doing out first article review and hopefully starting basketball. Please, remind your student to bring clothing with them to dress out in. If they have a lock, they've been given a locker to keep their stuff in. Have a wonderful rest of your week.

 Absent Forms.docx
An absent form is for students who have missed a class period. In order for the student to receive their participation points for the day they were absent they need to do fifteen to twenty minutes of physical activity. A parent or guardian then needs to sign the form and have it brought back to me.
 Team Sports- Syllabus.docx
The team sports syllabus has student expectations, the grading rubric, and dress code. Please refer to it if there are questions about my class or you are more than willing to email or call me.
